<h1>ANATOMY OF A CHARACTER</h1>
<p>In Fabula Ultima, all information pertaining to your character is tracked on a character sheet. In order to better understand the rest of this chapter, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the terms described below.</p>
<h2>TRAITS</h2>
<p>Each character has a total of three different Traits:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Identity</strong>. This is a short sentence that sums up your character's general concept — something like "Sky Pirate" or "Queenless Knight". You will choose your Identity when you create your character, and may change it later on if you feel like your character has developed enough that it is no longer fitting.</li>
<li><strong>Theme</strong>. This is a strong ideal or sentiment that drives your character's actions, such as Anger, Justice, or Ambition. This too is something you will choose during character creation, and it can change as your character evolves during play.</li>
<li><strong>Origin</strong>. This is where the character comes from, their homeland.</li>
</ul>
<p>While playing, you will be able to invoke your character's Traits to improve your odds when rolling dice.</p>
